Using a Non-Standard port

Sometimes it's desirable to use some other port than port 80 for the http interface, or port 443 for the https interface.

Incoming connections needs to be redirected using your firewall, router or NAT device from the desired port to port 443 or 80. Lets say that the desired port is 8080 to redirect to port 80. Configure your firewall to do port redirection from the external port 8080, to port 80 on the Filetransfer appliance.

The only additional configuration in the Filetransfer appliance that's needed is to set the Email Host Name in Configuration → Email settings to include the port: http://filetransfer.example.com:8080

That way, all outgoing emails will include the correct URL to reach the Filetransfer appliance and everything will work as expected.
